Restaurant and Craft Shop.
The Skellig Experience Centre is really
three centres under one roof: the Exhibition, the Restaurant, and the
Craft Shop. And you can avail of any of these facilities without
necessarily visiting all! Shoppers shall be most welcome in the Craft
Shop without taking in the Exhibition, as will diners in the
Restaurant. So come in and just Shop; Come in and just dine; Come in
just to the Exhibition! Or take in all three – and the Cruise as well
- if you so wish!
Our “Fionan’s Kitchen” is indeed a
restaurant-with-a-view, its ceiling-to-floor windows fronting on to
the waterside of Portmagee Channel. And the scenery comes nearer! You
are only a stone-throw from the sea when tables are moved outdoors to
avail of the summer sunshine trap on the south-facing veranda! In
“Fionan’s Kitchen”, indoors or out, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, a
lunch, a larger meal from our wholesome menu, or a chilled fresh fruit
juice as the day dictates.
Seating for up to
48 persons means that we can cater readily for coach tour groups as
necessary.
The Skelligs Experience Craft Shop is
just that – affordable crafts, arts, souvenirs and books, all with a
link to Skellig, to Valentia, to Kerry, and to Irish literature,
history, folklore and wildlife. We shall be surprised if you do not
find some interesting treats here for yourself, or some thoughtful
gifts for relations, and friends.
